Meet the Teacher
Thursday, August 6th from 4-6pm
Students must be completely registered to attend. This includes all documentation uploaded or emailed to sdock@mcpss.com
We will not handle any registration during this time.
Everyone will start in the gym.
Things to do at Meet the Teacher:
*Complete transportation forms. All students must have a transportation form completed before the first day of school.
*Sign parent compacts.
*Purchase Griggs spirit shirts $10 Griggs sweatshirts $20.
*Pre-purchase yearbooks $45.
*Bring teacher wish lists items. Not required, but greatly appreciated.
*Nurse Sara will be available if needed.
*Sign up for Before/After school care if needed. Space are limited.
*Visit your child's classroom and meet the teacher. Teacher will also have individual information to hand out.
We can't wait to see you and kick off a BRIGHT year together!

Car Rider Information for the 2026-2027 school year.
If your child was a car rider last year, we will continue using that same car tag number. If you lost/misplaced your car tag or need extra tags, cost is $3 each. Available for purchase at Meet the Teacher August 6th.
New car riders will receive 2 car tags. If you need extra tags cost is $3.
Cash or checks made payable to Griggs Elementary School.

If your child will be a bus rider for the 2026-2027 school year, please search for your bus information before coming to Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 6th.

●Transportation forms must be completed for each student. These forms are to let us know, how your child will go home everyday.
